If you know me well, even though I was born on Sunday but I found it’s hard to cope with my every Sundays. Why? Yeah am wired and I think that Sunday is very boring, to me, it’s indeed very sad day especially Sunday evening or night! Being said this, you can imagine how you spend your Sunday along with me when you read this. On Sunday night, you can’t go out sitting at the bar and drink too much as you’ll need to go to work tomorrow and at work, you can’t go with your hangover mood. It’s even more bored to spend your Sunday at home, in your room watching TV, eat and sleep the whole day right? Yes, you need to find ways to entertain yourself, relax, sleep and make yourself ready for Monday.
What I usually do on every Sunday is of course teaming with your best friends searching for cool cafe, great food, night market to explore, emerging tourist attractions or cool hidden places to hang out or even some cool and light parties that you can enjoy your social-drink manner to at least calm yourself down from this Sunday-sickness thing. And when I got a call from my celebrity friends [Jack & Top] for hitting this cool market on another side of the legend Chao Phraya River of Bangkok, I know that I can’t deny this offer!
The Knack Market in Khlong San area next to Khlong San Market, one of Bangkok’s must-visit shopping markets on the banks of Chao Phraya River, Charoennakorn Road is where I would recommend you all to visit. The market offers various local food, very creative handcrafted products, concerts and activities in the grounds of the funky Jam Factory on every last weekend of each month. All the booths are great as you’ll be amazed with lots of creative ideas, accessories for home, decorative and designs items, old books, vintage clothing and even street food and of course cool drinks in a very reasonable price. I do love the mood of the place, the people [Local and foreigners] and the event itself too as for the overall decorations and design stuffs, they remind you of the freedom reminiscent of the 70’s atmosphere, spreading out on the green lawn, big tree and live music.
You may visit The Knack Market at The Jam Factory on the last weekend of every month [Saturday–Sunday] from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. How to get here? By BTS please and you may stop at Saphan Taksin station on the Silom line. Head for Exit 2 at the station and that will take you straight to the central Sathorn Pier for transfers to public boat to Klong San pier [Or even Millennium Hilton Bangkok hotel] and you only walk 5 minutes.
