Visitors to the Bangkok Riverside Festival 3-5 February can win a special price three-day two-night Trekker Package to award-winning Cardamom Tented Camp in Cambodia at 40% off normal prices. The two vouchers are among the prizes in the festival’s main raffle draw.
All proceeds from the festival’s main raffle go to the elephant preservation work of the Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Foundation, a founding partner of Cardamom Tented Camp.
The package is for two nights for two people sharing a comfortable safari tent (twin/double), inclusive of round-trip boat transfer and full-board meals.
The ecolodge has the slogan, “Your Stay Keeps the Forest Standing,” because profits from guest visits to the camp help pay for 10 forest rangers to patrol the surrounding 180 sq km forest concession.
The rangers keep the forest free from loggers, hunters and illegal land grab operators. The mixed lowland forest around the camp is now home to a wonderful variety of wildlife such as elephants, pangolins, gibbons, otters, hornbills, and more – all of which depend on the preservation of the habitat.
The winners of the special offer can travel anytime between now and 30 November this year and are eligible for 40% off the normal price of the Trekker Package.
Guests can buy raffle tickets from Cardamom Tented Camp at the Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Foundation booth at Bangkok Riverside Festival, which takes place beside Soi Charoen Nakorn 57/1 on the Thonburi side of the river.
All proceeds from the festival’s main raffle go to the Foundation, details here.

About Cardamom Tented Camp
Cardamom Tented Camp is an ecolodge located in the foothills of the Cardamom Mountains in Cambodia. The nine-unit tented camp, with restaurant pavilion, staff dormitory, ecotourism equipment and boat pier, uses solar power to run lodge amenities. The camp has its own wastewater filtration process. There is no road access. The camp is accessible only by river boat – or forest hike. The lodge aims to minimize the human footprint on the natural world and serve as a role model in promoting sustainable ecotourism practices within both the national park and Cambodia as a whole. Located on an 18,000-hectare (180 sq km) concession, the lodge and its surroundings are home to pristine lowland and coastal habitats linking wildlife corridors to the Cardamom Mountains. Eco-friendly trekking and kayaking packages are available for adventure enthusiasts who are keen to be a part of real conservation work.
Cardamom Tented Camp is a three-way initiative between Minor Group, YAANA Ventures and Wildlife Alliance to ensure the land and its biodiversity does not fall into the hands of loggers, poachers and sand dredging operations.
