In Bangkok and you wanna eat Thai food

Thai food lover? Wanna be a chef? Entering a masterchef compettition? Hahaha that’s not me at all. Actually, cooking is not my passion but I do enjoy eating especially all my mom’s recipes. At home, I love to be the cook helper trying to help mom or dad at lunch or dinner preparation time, it’s not only that you learn how to cook afterwards but it’s fun and that makes family relationship works too. Yeah, I did this since when I was young and it reminds me of my mom everytime I saw somebody is cooking, demonstrating and he or she also smiles while doing that – That really calls passion, I guess.

Me? I cooked for my friends when I travel abroad several times, Thai dishes like Tom Yum, Gang Keow Wan, Pad Mama to name a few are my favorite dishes – You know, everytime I cook, all of my friends said ‘Delicious’ even though that’s my first time I cook that dish – Thank my mom on giving me that level of confidence I put on cooking.

Mid of October this year, apart from up to 10 Thai dishes I tried at the Thai food promotion media launch at Amara Bangkok, I got to know at least 5 difficult-to-find Thai dishes there too e.g. Cold watermelon served with dried fish flakes, Fresh pineapple morsel topped with minced pork and peanuts – They were either menu from the past years or royal cuisine years ago, I guess. All is delicious, I love the atmosphere of the restaurant and of course meeting all my beloved media friends.

The hotel’s all day dining restaurant – Element is where these Thai cuisine/dishes are served with the strating price at THB 150++ as the location is where all the street food stalls are so the price is cleverly set to be compettitive and approachable, not to be cheap nor to be too expensive. I love the quality ingredients, the taste and of course – the look of each dish is fabulous as you need to pick your smart phone and snap at least a shot or even the vdo clip to share with your social foodie friends. I think it’s nowadays trend too and like it or not – you need to bare with it. Got some shots here and for those who loves to try amazing Thai food when you are here in Bangkok or you wanna try some of the best Thai foods listed by CNN, the Thai food promotion called ‘Thai Passion at Element’ at Amara Bangkok hotel on Surawong road might be one of top lists in the capital city of Thailand.

Why Thai passion? Well, the GM [Khun Viranat] was grew up in the States and enjoyed Thai food made by his mum. He brought the recipes to the Amara Bangkok’s culinary team led by executive sous chef Chalermphant “Charlie” Rojnwatham and that’s the story behind this Thai food promotion – Cool isn’t it?
